Presentations
Just a few presentations of varying topics. Screen-recording software, Sony Vegas Studio, PowerPoint, or iMovie was utilized for all of these. Enjoy.
As I near the end of the Bachelor’s program, I was tasked with proposing a game concept for a capstone project (a final project to showcase everything we have learned up to this point). The criteria for this proposal was very strict in regards to scope, skill-base, ingenuity, and a few other specifications. The above presentation was the third iteration of this request.
Working as a team of five, our group was given an initial challenge to create an analog game, in a week, using five key mechanics (Version 1.0 GDD Here). The next week several of our mechanics were swapped out for different ones (Version 2.0 GDD Here). And, finally we had to take the second week’s concept and present it, as it would play, as a video game. The above video is that result.
Team Garlic’s walkthrough video of our project, “Scrapper’s Paradise.” Another great team that I was fortunate enough to be apart of.
Team Trapper’s game pitch of Dissension. I was part of great team in which we were tasked with developing an idea for a game based on a common theme.
A postmortem presentation talking about the development of a board game made in class. For more information (rules, and game board) on Bane Islands, click here (and scroll down).
A quick presentation showcasing a ‘prototype’ of a simple game I made in Unity. To play this or any of my other scenes made in Unity, click here.
A Pecha-Kucka assignment tasked us to create a presentation that had nothing to do with gaming and followed traditional Pecha-Kucka rules.
A reflection video of a class taken.
This presentation asked our preordained team to come up with a work environment for our imagined company of the future. As team leader I was tasked with delegating tasks, keeping the team on target, reviewing contributions and creating one cohesive deliverable for the week.
An academic project that asked us to team up with a designated team where we were to research a charitable service (we picked volunteering), and gamify the activity. As project leader I was tasked with delegating tasks, keeping the team on target, and gathering the team member’s contribution to create one cohesive deliverable for the week. We had a few members that did not participate, but we were still able to overcome this and release a presentation we were all happy with.
An academic project that asked us to review the week’s material and create a presentation that showed how these topics related to me.
An academic project that asked us to project ourselves into the future as graduates that are entering the work force.
