Developer’s Log: Entry 14

Full Sail GDNB Capstone: Team Balerion – Game: GravityWorks

Team: Joseph Aranda, Kayci Lyons, Joshua Schramm, Michael Smith, & Darby Wall.

Team Accomplishments:

This week Team Balerion continued to fine-tune their existing systems by soliciting as many play tests as possible to uncover any bugs that currently exist. This was our main focus for the week - finding, and fixing, several bugs. We put this as a high priority so we encounter as little feature-creep as possible as we gear up to start the process of adding in final art, animations, sound and music.

Individual Contributions:

In addition to the regularly scheduled weekly tasks I complete -

which include:

• Play testing the latest build as a Developer and recording bugs found

• Soliciting others to play test the latest build and encouraging them to fill out the playtester form

• addressing a plethora of bugs

• preparing the weekly build with my teammate Joe

• revising supporting documentation for the build

I worked on doing a thorough examination of our currently implemented setups, examined player feedback to bring up to the group, made changes based off player feedback, and created a small 'cut-scene' for when the player unlocks the final level.

Concerns:

I personally don't have any huge concerns at this time. I feel as though the team is doing a great job of preparing ourselves to implement art & audio next month - looking at the game objectively and making the right calls to cut or fix certain issues.
